Comic Con!

Today was one of the best days of my life. No, I'm being serious. I'm not that confident around people, especially those in my classes, but today was different. I don't know how or why exactly, but I felt as though I could hold conversations with many people and not turn into a blithering fool. I met so many lovely people today who shared my obsessions for all things Marvel, Doctor Who, DC and Sherlock and most of them were in costume too. Oh yeah, the costume did get finished on time- there was just a few malfunctions with the armour half way through the day.

The Black Widow cosplayer was really sweet and told me about The Avengers meet-up outside. Also, her costume was amazing. (I was looking at Tony Stark's camera at this moment in time.)

And here's Stark. We pretty much recited the whole Stark Tower scene.

One of the many brilliant Steve Rogers/Captain America costumes.

Loki x3, Thor, Captain America and a Hulk.

13 Days To Go: Sceptre (Part Two) and Coat (Part One)

Time seems to be flying by an in my absence, I have managed to complete my sceptre and make a start on my top jacket, armour and top (As well as going to see The Avengers for the fifth time).

After days of making a mess of the conservatory and yelling at inanimate objects when they don't do what I want them to do, my sceptre is finally complete. I may have ripped off half of the skin cells on my fingers in the process because super glue is one awful thing to work with.

The jacket is basically the outer leather coat Loki wears during The Avengers. It is almost complete; I just need to neaten up the seams and edges and sew on the embellishments. I am surprised that the basic shape was started and complete in one day (today) because I'm not usually someone who has a lot of determination.

On another non-costume related note, yesterday I watched The Hollow Crown: Henry IV Part One. Brilliant TV. Jeremy Irons and Tom Hiddleston are amazing actors who have the ability to create such in-depth characters and really suit Shakespeare. It was the highlight of my evening, or maybe even my week, and it was worth waiting an extra hour for it due to the tennis! Part Two is on next week, and Hiddleston's The Hollow Crown: Henry V is aired when I get home from Comic Con on the 21st- it should be a good day!
